The ancient town of Siracusa located on the south eastern corner of Sicily's rugged coastline, is a wonderful base to relax and also ideally located for exploring the history of other baroques towns like Ragusa and Noto; several archaeological sites, and the lively city of Catania.

You'll find Siracusa's most famous pastry shop right in the heart of town, "Pasticceria Corsino" has a reputation going back generations as famous bakers of delicious local Sicilian pasteries, bread baked on the premises, wines, confectionary and also offering some beautiful ceramics from local artists.

People come from all over to sample the delicious pastries baked right on these premises.

The younger generation and owners of this establishment have refurbished the entire 8th century building and have added three newly and individually renovated accommodations on the third floor; two are suites, being Studio Archimede and Apartment Artemide; whilst Artemide is an apartment on the same floor.

Nothing has been spared with these tastefully appointed renovations; a modern touch whilst still retaining the Sicilian charm and color scheme in these suites and apartment, which are bright and spacious.

There's a spacious bedroom and a staircase leads to a second loft area which has two single beds and a sofa bed for two people.

This is an ideal location for exploring the town and it's history, whilst sampling some of the fine foods mouthwatering Sicilian dishes in the many restaurants and outdoor eateries that line these ancient streets.
