The ancient town of Siracusa is located on the south eastern corner of Sicily's rugged coastline, it is a wonderful base to relax and also ideally located for exploring the history of other baroque towns like Ragusa and Noto; several archaeological sites, and the lively city of Catania.

You'll find Siracusa's most famous pastry shop right in the heart of town, "Pasticceria Corsino" that has a reputation going back generations as famous bakers of delicious local Sicilian pastries, bread baked on the premised, wines, confectionary and also offering some beautiful ceramics from local artists.

People come from all over to sample the delicious pastries baked right on these premises.

The younger generation and owners of this establishment have refurbished the entire 8th century building and have added three newly and individually renovated accommodations on the third floor; two are suites, being Suite Aretusa and Studio Archimede; whilst Artemide is an apartment on the same floor.

Nothing has been spared with these tastefully appointed renovations; a modern touch whilst still retaining the Sicilian charm and color scheme in these suites and apartment, which are bright and spacious.

Apartment Artemide has a double bedroom, plus a double sofa bed for two. The furnishings in satin colours of green and beige are in keeping with the colours of the region.

There's also a charming circular tiled table with chairs; providing dining for four people.

This bright apartment includes a fully tiled kitchen, well equipped with cooking utensils and crockery.

The rich wooden furniture throughout the apartment adds a homely atmosphere.

This is an ideal location for exploring the town and its history, whilst sampling some of the fine mouthwatering Sicilian dishes in the many restaurants and outdoor eateries that line these ancient baroque streets, steeped in history.

Together with Suite Aretusa and Studio Archimede the three accommodations can sleep up to fourteen people.
