Villa Cortesi is situated in the Cinisi area near Palermo and offers a splendid panoramic view over the Gulf of Castellammare.
The charm of the villa is emphasized by its refined and classic structure.
Built with typical local materials including stones, wood and terracotta, the villa's pleasant furniture and well maintained garden of various Mediterranean plants make it particularly inviting and characteristic.
The villa is divided in two levels.
A beautiful, wide veranda characterized by stone arches and wooden rafters wraps around the house.
From the veranda, one can access the living room; an elegant, spacious and refined environment.
The space is dominated by the stone fire place over which a graceful staircase twists up to the first floor - a particularly distinguishing element that gives the hall and living room a sophisticated air.
The furniture consists of some antique and precious objects.
The hall is connected to the dining room and a small corridor leads to the kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom.
The kitchen is decorated with objects of traditional Sicilian manufacturing such as the collection of cooper utensils and the characteristic table representing the so called Sicilian poor art (arte povera).
A striking stone scale leads down to the private wine cellar which is open to guests, though please note that the consumption of the products and wines will be charges separately.
The main bedroom upstairs is very spacious with a view over the garden and includes a large wardrobe and a bathroom with shower.
The second double bedroom is cheerful and bright.
The main bathroom on the ground floor contains valuable majolica.
On the first floor of the villa there is an entrance hall adjacent to two small sitting rooms connected by a wide arch.
One double bedroom has twin beds, each of them functionally furnished, is located on the first floor.
Outside, Villa Cortesi, as previously mentioned, is surrounded by a wide and well maintained garden where there is a swimming pool situated near the external kitchen, barbeque set and furnaces.
Because of the large external and internal spaces, the villa needs particular and consistent care necessary for its full functionality.
For this purpose, the presence of a caretaker facilitates the pleasant stay of Villa Cortesi's guests.
Additionally, a maid for domestic house maintenance, and a cook are also available when requested.
These services are upon request and are paid separately.
A parking area is located inside the courtyard.
The great location of Villa Cortesi allows guests the possibility to visit various sightseeing and archeological sites such as Palermo (15km), Castellammare del Golfo (25km), Scopello (30km), Segesta, Erice, Selinunte, Marsala and Agrigento.
Villa Cortesi is about 5km from Palermo's International Airport and about 70km from Trapani Airport.
